Can Do is a volunteering programme open to young disabled people aged between 10 and 35 years old who have a long term health condition or disability, including physical, visual or hearing impairments, mental health conditions, autism and learning disabilities like dyslexia and dyspraxia. Can Do is about feeling part of the local community, learning new skills, having fun, growing in confidence and making friends. You can attend volunteering sessions independently or with someone who supports you.

The next Can Do project in Essex is ‘Chelmsford Community Spirit’ and it’s open to anyone anywhere in Essex who is able to join us in Chelmsford.

With 16 hours of volunteering under your belt, you can earn a recognised City and Guilds qualification! If you would prefer to come for just a one-off session, that’s okay too! Can Do is fully funded so it doesn’t cost you anything to do.

To take part in Can Do – Chelmsford Community Spirit, please fill in the application form. They can meet in person before you start, so you can ask any questions and they can learn from you how best to support you so you get the most out of Can Do!

Can Do have a wide range of activities, including a Gym visit and Gardening! For a full list see the flyer below.
