Active Epping Forest aims to develop a community led group that can help grow participation in physical activity in the district by sharing best practice, applying for funding and growing capacity through training and recruitment.
Active Network is split across the Epping Forest Health and Wellbeing Sub-groups. The group will be made up of local community representatives from all walks of life, with varied interest and experience in physical and leisure activity.
In 2019 Active Epping Forest will work on the following priorities;
1.Plan and deliver a series of local training course and develop a corresponding schedule to release to local clubs.
2. Promote existing sport and physical activity opportunities in the district through;
2.1.Cross promotion of activities between AEF clubs
2.2.Cross promotion of taster sessions
3. Increasing funding for opportunities, by identifying relevant funding pots, offering support to clubs and sharing best practice.
