England Athletics are delighted to provide further details of a new athletics programme called funetics which introduces the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing.

What is funetics?

Funetics is a fun and inclusive programme, created by England Athletics to help 4-11 year old children across the country to learn, develop and practice running, jumping and throwing skills all year round, for a healthy confident future.

Helping children to have fun whilst getting active, funetics provides a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children to develop fundamental movement skills and confidence to help support them in different sports in the future.

England Athletics are looking to work with a wide range of organisations who may be interested in acquiring a school licence. This licence would allow them to deliver the funetics programme to local schools within a specific location.

Attached is an overview of the School Licence opportunity which provides detail on the package available to buy and what this specifically includes.

“We are extremely excited about the opportunity for this programme and believe it is a great opportunity to embed a trackable physical literacy product within the market place”.

“To support this, and further add to the excitement, we have managed to recruit Usain Bolt to support the programme, through a partnership with Enertor, who specialise in shock absorbing insoles. This is further enhanced by Katarina Johnson Thompson who also joins as an ambassador for the programme and who will feature in a national marketing launch campaign later this year”.
