Everyone has the right to participate in sport and physical activity free from harm and abuse.
Active Essex works in partnership with Essex County Council and the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) to develop robust policy and procedures to safeguard children. We have achieved the NSPCC and CPSU’s National Advance Standards for safeguarding and protecting children in sport. We work closely with clubs, sports organisations and statutory agencies to ensure that safeguarding children is prioritised.
At Active Essex, we recognise that children and vulnerable adults are at increased risk and that their protection is of paramount importance.
