"I'm late to the party on the fitness front after a reality check when loosing my Dad (only 55 at the time) to a heart attack. A friend ran CrossFit Braintree and had been on at me to try it out but with dodgy knees, a bad back and being just over 16 stone, I couldn't face it! It took me at least 3 years to walk through that door and I've never looked back.

I then decided it made total sense to try and help others be brave and achieve their goals like me. Initially I did my Crossfit level 1 certificate just for myself to gain an insight but have since gone on to coach there. Crossfit is a form of high intensity training using strength and conditioning workouts made up of functional movements. I then completed my NVQ Level 3 Personal Trainer certificate and I'm now studying Level 2 Understanding Mental health as I strongly believe in the benefits exercise has in improving mental health issues. I work part time at The Cube which is trainer led gym using 45 minute structured workouts encompassing cardio and strength training and coach part time at Crossfit braintree. I am also currently in the process of setting up my own PT business.

I want to be that person who makes the nervous, scared and unfit people feel welcome and ready to be the best version of themselves. I've been there and been scared but if I can do it, anyone can!"
