Children and young people spend a high proportion of their lives within education settings. It is essential therefore that, with your support, schools embrace and embed physical activity as part of a child centred approach to learning and development. Developing active, friendly, environments, offering a variety of opportunities for movement throughout the school day, and encouraging walking and cycling from home to school will all contribute to high activity levels.
