Active Lives Survey 2022/23 Term 1 WebinarWednesday 21st September 16:00-16:30. Currently, less than half of young people in Essex reach the recommended level of physical activity. The national Active Lives Survey gives both a unique and comprehensive view of how children and young people are getting active. Active Essex has the responsibility for engaging schools in Greater Essex to collect this data on behalf of Sport England, the DCMS and Ipsos Mori. If you are a selected school or want to opt in for this years survey, join our webinar to find out more about the surveys' importance, a step by step guide, children and young data levels in Essex and incentives for participating.
Primary Sport PE & Premium

This webinar will focus on how schools can maximise the 22/23 Primary PE and Sport Premium grant for their children and young people. There will be discussion and advice based around the 5 key objectives for funding spend, all in the context of the current school climate. The webinar will provide insight from PE leads into how the grant can impact young people, along with some examples from around the county of how schools are effectively using the grant to support the health and wellbeing of young people and whole school priorities now.
Physical Activity and Emotional Wellbeing (complimenting TPP)
BRAND NEW for 2022, designed in Partnership with Essex County Council, Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) team, our Physical Activity to support Behaviour and Emotional Wellbeing module combines and enhances the ECC full Trauma Perceptive Practice course, with this module specifically focused on active interventions and the use of physical activity to help support emotional wellbeing and contribute to behaviour management. TPP is the Essex approach to understanding behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing for schools and education settings. This course also incorporates a train the trainer model enabling each setting to have their own TPP practitioner trainer.

Health and Safety for PE, Sport and Physical Activity in Schools Active Essex works closely with Essex County Council (ECC) Schools Health & Safety Advisor team in order to provide relevant and up to date advice and guidance with regards to health and safety in PE. ECC approved Health and Safety in PE courses are essential for all NQTs or teachers working in schools delivering PE and school sport.
