Anti-Bullying Week

Bullying affects millions of lives every day and can leave us feeling scared, lonely, and hopeless. For Anti Bullying Week let’s challenge and change this together. Whether it’s in school, a sports club, at home, in the community or online, let’s reach out and show each other the support we need. It takes courage, but it can change someone’s life. So, this Anti-Bullying Week, let’s come together and reach out to stop bullying.

How to Reduce Child Anxiety When Joining a New Club?

Attending a new club, activity or session can be a daunting experience for children. Children can feel pressured and anxious about joining new things they unfamiliar with, causing them to exclude themselves from trying new things. An example of this is joining an activity group for the first time. Active Essex have created a guide to help coaches reduce the anxiety felt amongst children ahead of their first session. Following these steps coaches can turn anxious feelings into excitement and motivation for children to try something new at your session.
