Find Your Active Epping Forest aims to develop a community led group that can help grow participation in physical activity in the district by sharing best practice, applying for funding and growing capacity through training and recruitment.

Active Network is split across the Epping Forest Health and Wellbeing Sub-groups. The group will be made up of local community representatives from all walks of life, with varied interest and experience in physical and leisure activity.

Find Your Active Epping Forest Capacity Grant Fund – Purpose: To fund health and wellbeing projects or initiatives in the Epping Forest area with the main aim of reducing physical inactivity.

Who can apply?

  • Individuals – If applying as individual you must supply proof of your qualifications, public liability insurance, First Aid Training, safeguarding training (if working with children or vulnerable adults) and DBS certificate.
  • Clubs
  • Small businesses

Funding available: Grants are available up to a maximum of £500.

 

Epping Forest Public Health Funding

Purpose: To fund health and wellbeing projects or initiatives in the Epping Forest District in line with the priorities of the Epping Forest Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2022-26 which are:

 

  • Improve mental health and wellbeing
  • Reduce loneliness and social isolation
  • Support residents in relation to the rising cost of living
  • Support residents to increase their physical activity levels
  • Tackle alcohol and substance misuse issues

 

Projects that aim to tackle health inequalities supporting the Health and Wellbeing Boards place based approach in the ward of Paternoster (Waltham Abbey) would be favourable.

 

Who can apply? The Epping Forest Public Health Community Grant Fund is open to constituted community and voluntary sector organisations and statutory agencies that provide services to the residents of Epping Forest district.

 

Funding available: Grants are available for a minimum of £500 to a maximum of £5,000
