Daisy Field is a local green space at the heart of Tilbury, serving as a focal point for the neighbourhood, frequently hosting local youth sports, wellness hubs, and community outreach. It’s also a community space where neighbours meet, families play, and anyone can enjoy a moment outdoors.

Whether you want to move more, unwind, connect with others, or simply enjoy fresh air, Daisy Field is the perfect spot to start.

Ways to get active at or near Daisy Field

Below are ideas you can try on your own, with friends or family, or as inclusive activities that welcome all ages and abilities. Each idea is designed to be simple, free, and fun because being active should feel good, not complicated. There is also a playground, skate park, pump track, walking circuit and outdoor gym to utilise.

Activities on your own
  • Scavenger or bug hunt – Explore the park’s natural corners and see what wildlife you can spot.
  • Build your own circuit – Choose a few spots around the park and rotate through exercises like jumping jacks, lunges, squats, or running on the spot.
  • Mindful walking – Slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the outdoor space.
  • Keepy‑uppy challenge – Bring a ball and see how long you can keep it going.
  • Buggy walks – A gentle way for new parents to get moving at their own pace.
  • YouTube workout – Find a quiet spot and choose a workout video on the Find Your Active YouTube channel. Follow along with some of our online instructors who will talk you through a mindful yoga session or a more intense bootcamp workout.
Activities with friends, family or neighbours
  • Picnic and play – Bring a blanket, some snacks, and let the kids run free.
  • Neighbourhood sports day – Everyone brings a simple game: relay races, beanbag toss, frisbee, or a mini obstacle course.
  • Ball games – Try goal practice, circular pass‑and‑play, or a friendly match.
  • Party/playground games – Musical statues, tag, egg‑and‑spoon races, or target throwing.
  • Generational learning – Kids teach grandparents their favourite moves, and grandparents share games from their childhood.
Inclusive activities for everyone
  • Dog‑walking social meet‑up – A relaxed way to meet neighbours and enjoy gentle movement.
  • Neighbourly challenge board – Set up a simple challenge list (e.g., 20‑step dash, 10‑second balance, 5‑minute walk). People complete it and add their name.
  • Slow‑pace circuits – Adapt exercises to suit all abilities; focus on balance, stretching, and gentle movement.
  • Nature spotting – A calming, accessible activity for all ages.
  • Seated or supported movement – Bring a chair or use a bench for simple stretches and mobility exercises.
