We’re pleased to announce that the #MoveWithUs ‘Move Maker’ for October is Daniel Gale. Daniel is an active member of the Yellow Door Young Volunteers group on Canvey Island, as well as an attendee at a host of other youth club sessions.
Yellow Door are an independent charity offering information, advice, advocacy, emotional and practical support, education and counselling, and activities to young people aged between 11 and 25.
Daniel actively helps fundraising efforts at these groups, helping with a bake sale to help raise funds for refurbishing a new youth space. He also helped run a café at the King George’s Fayre, taking particular care of other volunteers and entertainers ensuring they all had that they needed in the form of refreshments. Daniel also actively supports the sports sessions hosted by the youth workers at Yellow Door.

“Daniel helps the youth workers with the setting up and delivery of sports sessions for our young people. Daniel takes particular care to encourage others to take part, constantly supporting those less confident or that feel frustration during activities, ensuring they remain active and involved. Daniel is amazing with ideas and support for fundraising events.”
Those around Daniel comment on how caring he is for others, how compassionate he can be, as well as his impressive communication and confidence. Suggesting that Daniel has the qualities of being a great youth worker if he wanted to be in the future.
