Jacob – June Move Maker

Move Maker

We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on an extraordinary young boy, Jacob, who has been named our #MoveWithUs ‘Move Maker’ for June!

Jacob earned this well-deserved recognition for his incredible contribution to this year’s Invincible Games, an inclusive celebration of sport, movement, and community. With energy, passion, and a whole lot of heart, Jacob helped open the event with a show-stopping dance routine that had the crowd on their feet and spirits soaring. Living with a rare disease called Kabuki Syndrome which also causes him to be deaf, Jacob still loves listening, dancing, and singing along to some of his mum’s favourite songs.

His performance wasn’t just entertainment, it was also a powerful message. Through every move, Jacob showed that anything is possible, inspiring attendees of all abilities to embrace movement and express themselves with confidence. He was awarded his trophy during the games opening ceremony after his performance by Paris 2024 Bronze Medalist and Active Essex Ambassador, Lewis Richardson, who described Jacob as a pure joy.

The Invincible Games are all about breaking down barriers and celebrating what makes us unique, and Jacob embodied that spirit perfectly. His courage, creativity, and commitment to inclusion make him a true role model, not just for the day, but for SEND students across Essex.

Congratulations, Jacob! Keep dancing, keep inspiring, and keep proving that limits are only what we choose to believe.

“Jacob reminds us all that anything is possible. Opening the Invincible Games two years in a row, his dancing, energy, and enthusiasm provides pure joy and inspires all of us. No matter the challenge, Jacob shows that doing what you love has no limits, and in doing so, he lights the way for others to follow. A truly deserving Move Maker this month.”
