Essex LDP lead on Sport England exploration of ‘Gamification’

Local Delivery Pilot

Sport England recently brought together all 12 LDPs from across the UK to explore what each LDP is doing in regards to gamification. Essex led the way with representation from Kerry McDonald, Neil Coggins, and Stuart Tryhorn explaining our investment so far in Street Tag, Beat the Street, and Go Jauntly. It is clear that all of the LDPs are already doing some great work to use gamification to inspire inactive people in low-income communities, and many of the LDPs are interested in doing more. Our new evaluation team are going to prioritise the evaluation of our Essex LDP gamification work. All very exciting – especially with new Street Tag and Beat the Street starting in Tendring this year!  To learn more about gamification and what the Essex LDP are doing in this space, please take a look at the new gamification feature on the Active Essex website here.
