Active Chelmsford is a Community Sports Network and is an independent, voluntary group formed to bring together all sectors with an interest in the provision of physical activity including sport in the administrative area covered by Chelmsford City Council which includes South Woodham Ferrers and rural areas surrounding the city itself.

For more information please download the about Active Chelmsford Governing Document.

Active Chelmsford is keen to set up an Activity Group for any organisations with an interest in promoting the delivery of physical activity and sports activities in order to increase the participation levels In Chelmsford and the surrounding area. This group would be useful for individuals, businesses, sports clubs, individual schools or any other community group that would like to encourage people to be more active or take part in sport.

The group will operate as a virtual network with national and local updates being shared by email and the opportunity for individuals and organisations to attend workshops on relevant topics e.g. funding and grant opportunities, once or twice a year.

Active Chelmsford has a small amount of funding available to support local organisations to help it deliver its objectives.
