The #MoveWithUs campaign encourages children and young people across Essex to engage in physical activity in a way that suits them best. Whether it’s dancing, walking, team sports or something completely unique, we want every young person to find joy in movement.
As part of this mission, the campaign’s ambassador programme gives young people aged 13–17 the chance to have their voices heard and help shape the future of physical activity in Essex. Ambassadors meet with us throughout the year, both online and face-to-face, to share their ideas and insights through fun, interactive workshops. These sessions include exciting activities like ninja warrior and laser tag, as well as online games and quizzes to keep things engaging. All feedback is shared directly with the Active Essex Board to influence future strategies and programmes.
For those who want to go the extra mile, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved further, whether it’s tagging us on social media, writing blog posts or volunteering at our events. We’re looking for passionate young people who want to make a difference and help others discover the power of movement.

Our next Get-Together
Join us on the 26th May at our next Ambassador Get Together, where we will be trying inclusive sports and types of physical activity, having discussions on the importance of enabling everyone to be active without barriers and how we do this. We will also be taking part in a workshop on how to promote physical activity online.
We will also be joined by Paralympian and World Record holder Ellie Challis!

We want everyone to feel welcome as a Move With Us Ambassador, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). However you get active, we want to hear from you! We’ll support you to share your story in a way that works best for you, and provide you the platform to help inspire others to get moving too.
