The Essex Local Delivery Pilot team have achieved one of the biggest achievements so far by securing a new investment of £1.5m from the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Securing such a large amount of money from the Essex health system is a major break through for the LDP. Our ways of working have built strong relationships and trust with the CCG, which gave them the confidence to invest so much money into physical activity.
Colchester projects will receive £750,000, and similarly, Tendring projects will receive £750,00. In total 13 projects will be created, 6 shared across Colchester and Tendring, 3 Colchester only, and 4 Tendring only. The projects include Essex Pedal Power, Disability Cycling, Street Tag, Beat the Street, RideLondon activation, Park Play, Green Prescribing, Active Travel Social Prescribing, Outdoor gyms, and youth facilities.
